Status
status: draft # open vocabulary, e.g. draft | stable | deprecatedOfficial OKF specification requirement
status is an open vocabulary — draft/stable/deprecated are the spec's own examples, not a closed list. A producer may use any value (e.g. archived, experimental), and it must never cause a bundle to be rejected. An omitted status is treated as stable.status: deprecated and an expired stale_after are trust signals, not validation errors — consumers weigh them, they never cause rejection. OKF Tools preserves and displays whatever custom status value a concept actually declares rather than coercing it into a known bucket.
Staleness
stale_after: "2026-12-31"A concept becomes stale once the current date is on or after stale_after:
- Fresh — before
stale_after. - Stale today — exactly on
stale_after. - Stale — after
stale_after. - No expiry declared — no
stale_afterset.
Use the Freshness Analyzer to see this across a bundle, with filters for All, Fresh, Stale, Deprecated, Draft, Unverified, Machine Confirmed, and Human Reviewed.
