OKF is a portable knowledge representation format designed for humans and AI agents — plain Markdown concepts with structured frontmatter, linked together like a wiki. It does not guarantee search rankings or AI citations; see our docs for what the specification does and doesn't claim.

Does the bundle follow the OKF v0.2 specification? Unknown types and custom fields are always valid.

- No. OKF Tools is an independent developer utility suite for the Open Knowledge Format and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. The Open Knowledge Format specification itself is published by Google Cloud.

- No. OKF is a portable knowledge representation format designed for humans and AI agents — it does not guarantee search rankings or AI citations.
- Do I need to sign up to use these tools?
- No signup is required. Every deterministic tool — validating, linting, exploring, diffing — runs entirely in your browser. Server-side processing is used only for crawling websites.
- What's the difference between the Validator and the Linter?
- The Validator checks OKF v0.2 specification conformance only — missing descriptions, broken links, and missing index files are never conformance errors there. The Linter adds optional, stricter quality guidance on top, with Spec Only through Enterprise presets.
- Can I use a custom concept type that isn't in the spec?
- Yes. OKF has no fixed taxonomy — unknown types and custom frontmatter fields are always valid per the specification, and OKF Tools never invalidates a bundle for using them.
